About Us

The Corpus Christi Oilman’s Tennis Tournament (CCOTT) is an all volunteer charitable organization whose sole purpose is to raise scholarship funds for the American Petroleum Institute (API), The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and The Corpus Christi Geological Society (CCGS). All the people working at the tournament are volunteers and they have donated many hours to organize and deliver what we hope will be a very successful tournament.

CCOTT has donated over $150,000 to the above named scholarship programs. Every year we try to streamline the tournament in an effort to raise as much money as possible without compromising the quality of the event. Please let the committee members know what you think and how we are doing.

Information about the Scholarship Programs:

CCGS – Gives roughly $12,000 per year to students who are majoring in Earth Science at either the masters or undergraduate level and are attending a local university (A&M Corpus, Kingsville or Del Mar).

SPE – Local chapter gives roughly $50,000 per year to full time students studying engineering related to the petroleum industry, and maintaining their grades in an accredited university.

API – Gives approximately $180,000 each year to full time students in an accredited university who maintain a 2.5 GPA and whose parents or guardians are API members employed in an oilfield related industry.

Please be careful and enjoy yourselves both on and off the court and remember why we are here. Thank you for participating and making this another successful year.

Yours truly,
Brent Hopkins
C.C.O.T.T. Committee Chairman
